Zygor Guides – the company behind some of the most popular World of Warcraft guides and addons for WoW Classic and retail – have made their entire WoW Classic leveling guides available for free, as web guides. These guides cover the original 1-60 version of the game, also known as WoW Classic Era or vanilla.
That means that you can go to their website, and click on Web Guides in the navigation menu, and find all of their 1-60 leveling guidesfor Horde and Alliance for free on the web. You don’t even have to register or anything, and you have unlimited access. There’s text and pictures and maps, and even various other helpful features that make it easier to follow along. For example, you can copy the coordinates for each step and paste into an addon inside WoW to see where you need to go.
Go to Zygor Guides website, and click on Web Guides in the upper navigation bar to find Zygor’s free web-based 1-60 leveling guides for WoW Classic Era (also known as vanilla). Click the image to go to Zygor’s website.
You can even become a free member to their service and download their addon. Then you can copy/paste the coordinates from the web guides into the addon, and it will show you where to go. Obviously, this isn’t as convenient as becoming a paying subscriber, which will allow you to view Zygor’s entire WoW Classic leveling guides inside the game automatically, but it’s nevertheless helpful.
This free option is great if you don’t want to spend any money on a leveling guide, or you want to get a glimpse of the high quality of Zygor’s guides before you decide to become a paying subscriber. It’s also useful if you have two monitors so that you can view the leveling guides and WoW side by side. It’s less useful if you only have one monitor and you need to alt+tab out of the game every time you need to look at the leveling guide. But, again, it’s still a great free option and if you like them you can simply upgrade to their fee-based membership and get access to the addon so you can view all the leveling guides inside WoW automatically.
If you do upgrade to the guides that cost money, they will automatically tell you what to do and where to go in a very streamlined fashion. You don’t need to copy/paste any coordinates or alt+tab out of the game or anything like that. You can just follow the instructions inside WoW, in a separate little guide window. Very convenient.
I was already impressed by Zygor’s guides, and with this announcement they’re contributing to the WoW community by giving away their professional guides for free.
Becoming a paying subscriber is, of course, even more useful, as it also includes access to many other guides for WoW Classic and new World of Warcraft, as well as the addon and in-game navigation system so you can view all the guides inside WoW, and more. However, the free 1-60 leveling guides are a great option if you don’t want to spend any money.
