Making gold with Eternal and Crystallized items in WoW WotLK Classic

This is just something that I found which is very simple, requires no professions, no high level character and no farming. You don’t even need to leave your major city of choice. Just a little gold to get started is all it takes.

As you may know, the Northrend equivalents of Burning Crusade primals and motes are called eternals and crystallized.

Right clicking an eternal creates 10 crystallized of the same kind, while right clicking a stack of 10 crystallized creates 1 eternal.

There are 6 different types of each to watch for:

  • Fire
  • Earth
  • Water
  • Shadow
  • Life
  • Air

Crystallized elements are farmed with various gathering professions in Northrend.

Now, both eternals and crystallized are used in crafting recipes. So many people are looking for just a handful of crystallized. They don’t want to buy an eternal and break it into 10 crystallized, because they only need a few.

You can do this for them and make a nice profit! Here’s how:

Go to the auction house and do a search for eternal fire and crystallized fire (and the other elements). Often you’ll notice that the cheapest single eternal fire may cost, say 38g as in the pic below. The cheapest single crystallized may cost 8g as seen below, or there might not even be any single crystallized fire for sale.

The reason is that most people just dump odd stacks of crystallized elements on the AH without breaking them into singles, as you can see. You’re not really competing with those, as you’re aiming for people who just want 1 or 2.

Search for Eternal Fire at the auction house.

Search for Crystallized Fire at the auction house.

What I would do here is buy an eternal fire for 38g and break it up into 10 crystallized fire. Then put those up for about 7g each, in singles. Once they sell you’ll make a nice profit.

You can also buy up some cheap crystallized and collect 10 for an eternal and sell that, or split up some of the crystallized stacks into singles.
It may not make you rich overnight, but at low-medium levels it can be a killer.
